Saddle Fitting-Terms of Service

What to expect:
At our appointment I will examine and do a tracing of your horse’s back and adjust your current Custom saddle. If shopping for a new saddle I will recommend one or more tree types that would best fit your horse’s shape. We will then explore a variety of seats, panels, flaps and leg rolls in those tree types that best fit you, the rider.

This process allows the most precise saddle fit for you and your equine partner for comfort and performance. My goal is to ensure that the saddle is properly fitted to both horse and rider so that they may experience freedom from restrictions, balance in riding, and harmony.

Cancellation and rescheduling of appointments: I ask for consideration when canceling appointments. I will do everything I can to not miss an appointment with you. We will work around medical and family emergencies and severe/dangerous Colorado weather. I will confirm our appointment with you a few days prior. If something changes please let me know asap by text message or phone call. If you do not cancel within 24 hours of appointment time there may be a late cancellation charge.

Payment is due at the time of service.

There are NO REFUNDS.

Disclaimer/Release/Liability Waiver/Hold Harmless Agreement: The Perfect Fit Saddlery, LLC, and McKinley Harvey, is released of all liability. Under Colorado law an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. Rider rides at own risk in saddles. The Perfect Fit Saddlery, LLC reserves the right to refuse services to anyone, at any time, for any reason. In particular, I will not work with horses I feel are dangerous to my own safety. This includes but is not limited to biting and kicking. If we are unable to complete an appointment due to your horse being unsafe your payment is still due at the time of visit. The Perfect Fit Saddlery, LLC provides saddle demos and trials through Custom Saddlery, Aviar Saddles, Envy Saddles, Equipe Saddles, Amerigo Saddles, Dp Saddlery, and fitting consulting and saddle adjustments services only. We do not treat horse or rider medical problems or issues and assume no liability for any rider or horse ailment before, during, or after appointment(s). Should your horse seem uncomfortable you should contact your preferred veterinarian. If you are having pain or discomfort you should consult your personal physician. We are not not responsible for any injury of rider, or horse, or property, injury of observers from being around horses, or riding injuries, or damages to property or saddles or malfunctions of saddles you ride in or demo. The rider/client is personally responsible for his/her own safety at all times or minor under his/her care and responsible for his/her horse’s safety and comfort, well-being, and behavior at all times. You must be 18 years of age or be accompanied by a parent for saddle fitting appointments. Minors cannot have appointments without responsible parent or guardian present. All adult riders are recommended to wear helmets at all times mounted but required only based on the barn rules of said appointment location. All minors will wear helmets during the riding portion of the appointment. I will be responsible for taking great care of your saddle and adjusting it as if it were my own. If your Custom Saddle needs adjusting/repairs that I cannot complete I will consult an out of state master saddler or send to our main shop in Aiken, SC to fix.

Proceeding with appointment(s) with The Perfect Fit Saddlery, LLC confirms that you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless The Perfect Fit Saddlery, LLC, McKinley Harvey, successors, assigns, agents, personal representatives or other representatives and employees collectively from any and all liability or obligation for any and all loss, damage, claim or liability whatsoever of horse, rider, property or other, arising from or in any way connected with saddles, saddle fitting and consulting of saddles and you also agree with above policies, and fees, and you assume responsibility for all risks, and still wish to hire The Perfect Fit Saddlery, LLC for saddle fitting and/or shopping of demo saddles.
